URBAN CASTING INC BACKGROUND PERFORMERS HANDBOOK
1. Your "call time" is the time at which you as a background performer are required to be on set. You should be aware that productions often shoot 12 to 16 hours daily; therefore, when you accept a booking as a background performer be prepared to be available as long as may be required. We would suggest prior to accepting a booking that you are clear of any other obligations.
2. We will provide you with your call time, as well as set location, wardrobe details and your on-set contact between 7pm and 11pm the night before you are expected to be on set. You must always leave us a number where you can be contacted. Should it be necessary for us to leave you a message please check your answering machine frequently and call us back as soon as possible to confirm receipt of call time information. Confirmation prior to 11pm is a must.
3. Transportation to set is your responsibility. Although we will always do our best to give you specific set location directions as part of the call time information, it is your responsibility to ensure you know how to get to the location. Always keep a map of the Lower Mainland handy and plan your routes ahead of time.
4. Always allow enough time to arrive on set 15 minutes prior to your call time, keeping in mind the time of day and traffic congestion.
5. If you're late always contact the office during regular hours or call us outside the office hours on our cell phones.
6. Please remember that once you have been selected to work on set and have accepted the booking you are obligated to fulfill your commitment.
AVAILABILITY AND APPEARANCE
1. Casting directors are selecting you and we are booking you based on your availability and appearance in our most recent photos of you. It is imperative that you always keep us informed of significant changes in your appearance so please ensure we always have an updated photo of you.
2. The amount of work you may get as a background performer depends on a number of factors including your availability and commitment.
3. It is very important that you leave us your updated availability on a weekly basis. You can do so by accessing our website @ http://www.urbancastinginc.com/auth/availability.aspx> or by leaving a message on the office voicemail after hours.
4. Calls to determine or confirm your availability to work on set as a background performer are usually made during the regular office hours. If we are unable to contact you directly we will leave you a message on your answering machine or voicemail. Please check for messages frequently and return all Urban Casting Inc. calls ASAP.
